In 2012, the first articulated “crocodile” type locomotive from Electrotren went on sale. It was reference E3016, corresponding to locomotive 7212 in green livery without yellow stripes from Era III.

HE2023 reproduces locomotive 7501 in original green livery without the yellow stripe from Era III: this model commemorates the 80th anniversary of its production and comes in a special case. Reference HE2024 reproduces locomotive 7206 in the Vilanova and Geltrú Museum version, decorated in blue with a red stripe, while reference HE2025 is for locomotive 272-003 in green livery from Era IV without a yellow stripe and UIC registration. What makes these locomotives so special?

The drive axles of the locomotive are located on two bogies, each with three axles.

• Each axle group has a vertical movement system from the central axle, independent of the chassis and the sides of the bogie.

• The six central axles, of which four are powered with contact pickups, have lateral displacement to allow operation on tight radius tracks.

• The movable part of the hoods has a complete articulation of its parts:

• The hood is rigidly connected to the base of the motor bogie and turns with it on curves, independently of the locomotive body.

• The hood has a longitudinal movement that allows it to separate from the body, facilitating turning on very tight curves.

• The supporting bogie under the hood has a rocking motion in height over its axis and a wide range of longitudinal movement relative to the track axis.

• Two drive wheels on each motor bogie have traction tires to enhance grip.

• The locomotive's design allows for efficient performance on all types of curves and reverse curves, ensuring excellent running quality and a great visual effect.

• The sides of the bogies are detailed, including the reproduction of sand pipes and fine tubing.
